Astrology

The astrological predictions that appear in many newspapers and magazines are based on the sun signs. These are inevitably generalizations, since there are only twelve sun signs, and this means that all mankind is divided into twelve groups. In astrology, the sky is divided into twelve sections, each representing one of the signs of the zodiac. At the moment of a person's birth, the Sun is in one of these twelve sections and determines to which zodiac sign he belongs.

The four elements as the basis for the horoscope: 

The twelve zodiac signs are divided into four groups, each containing three of the signs. The four groups are named after the four elements proposed by the ancient Greek philosopher Empedocles 2,400 years ago. They were considered the building blocks of the universe: fire, earth, air and water. In basic astrological terms, the elements express the indispensable nature of the various zodiac signs..

Earth is cautious, responsible, reliable, ambitious, practical, focused, disciplined, solid and persevering.

⇢ Air (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius).   ♊ ♎ ♒

Air is light-hearted, joyful, curious, restless, independent, communicative, impractical, entertaining, intellectual and trusting.

⇢ Fire (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius).   ♈ ♌ ♐

Fire is positive, confident, energetic, enthusiastic, impulsive, inspiring, courageous, powerful, passionate and initiating.

⇢ Water (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces).  ♋ ♏ ♓

Water is compassionate, forgiving, understanding, emotional, creative, intuitive and spiritual.

Astrologers gradually realized that people born at a particular time of year, when the sun, moon and planets were in the same part of the sky, had a great deal in common. Although each person was unique, these people shared many of the same interests and feelings. This allowed astrologers to create a horoscope for individuals and develop the zodiac signs. A horoscope is a picture of the sky at the date, time and place a person was born.
